2nd European MBA Career Fair: Success for all parties

“We are satisfied with the popular demand of seven recruiting companies”, explained Dr. Annegret Zurawski after the European MBA Career Fair,  which took place at the beginning of this month at International Congress Center in Berlin.” Due to the current economic recovery the demand of companies to recruit highly qualified MBA-graduates is reactivated”, adds the Adademic Director of Gisma .

Both organizers, Gisma and Handelshochschule Leipzig, were also surprised by the balanced mix of 146 MBA-graduates, who traveled from 19 European business schools to Berlin, such as Mannheim Business School, Cranfield School of Management, Rotterdam School of Management, HEC Paris and MIP Politecnico di Milano. The participating candidates took the opportunity to visit company-workshops and to conduct intensive one-on-one-interviews with recruiters. Among them were ECE Projektmanagement, Deutsche Post DHL Inhouse Consulting, SAP and Barilla. The companies were especially pleased with the fact, that a good portion of 35 percent of the candidates had an academic background in natural sciences and engineering.

Dear author of the article,

I would like to pose just really simple question: What is the takeaway? I have also graduate from top business school with honors and also have natural sciences background and live in Berlin, not just visiting MBA career fair. Let me make concentrate just on one example. I have spent almost 6 months exploring German labor market for new opportunities. I have also tried Deutsche Post DHL Inhouse Consulting, and BTW not me alone. Everyone who live in Germany knows how bad DHL service works, so it would be logical to attract to this company ‘new blood’ who would try and reform the company…but they do not.
